Patrick Galbats was born in 1978 in Luxembourg. In 2002, he graduated from “Le 75” in Brussels. Between 2011 and 2016, he was the official photographer of the weekly newspaper d’Lëtzebuerger Land (www.land.lu). Beside his comissioned works for NGOs or press, Patrick Galbats focuses on the evolution of society. Over the last years, his photography shifted from social documentary towards a more subtle documentary style, where the landscape becomes increasingly important. Through them, he bears witness to his era and addresses issues of his concern, all with respect to the human being, his topic of predilection.
In 2018, he published his first book under the title “Hit Me One More Time” with the CNA (Luxembourg) and Peperoni Books (Berlin, Germany). This work about contemporary Hungary has been exhibited in Luxembourg, Vienna (A), Brussels and Novi Sad (SRB).
